Donations

Could this be the year that we close our doors because we can't pay the rent? Since we receive no grants or tax dollars, our future is completely dependent on current income. And by it's very nature, a not-for-profit organization lives on the edge of the abyss.  NYLS could use some money to create a small endowment fund, and to buy more rare books. It is certainly in the best interest of the legal community to preserve NYLS because no one else can do what we do!

Please have your person who is in charge of philanthropic contributions call Laird Ehlert, Executive Director, at (212) 962-2826, or you may use the easy link to us at Network for Good in the box at left:

Thank you so much!

Book Donations

For years there has been a law library downsizing trend going on in New York. At the same time, our library has grown substantially. We love outdated law books and old reports! If you have outdated McKinneys Session Laws volumes, old versions of the State or City Charter, Legislative Documents, Constitutional Conventions, indices, NY Times film or fiche, or any books or reports related to New York State or New York City law or legislation, we would welcome the donation.

We cannot use books on federal law or case law, since they are not relevant to our organizations purpose.

Please call (212) 962-2826 to offer your books, or email a list to nylegal@nyls.org . Thank you.

NYLS is a section 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
Your donations to are tax-deductible.
