NYLS Membership FAQ:

Q. How long does a membership last and how is it billed?

A. Our membership services run annually, corresponding to our fiscal year, from October to the following September. Standing memberships are billed accordingly, however, there is no restriction on when you can join us. Your membership will simply run 12 months from your sign-up date and will be billed again when that duration expires.

Q. Is there a contractual agreement?

A. While there is no official contract outlining the terms of your membership, our membership services do last 12 months from the sign-up date.

Q. My organization has many different locations. Does each location have to sign up for membership?

A. Of course not! Once your organization joins our membership services, full benefits are extended and applied to all locations and members of your organization.

Q. Are there discounts for sole practitioners, smaller law firms, and non-profit organizations?

A. Yes, we offer lower membership rates depending on the size and type of your organization. Call us and ask about them!

Q. Can we try out your membership first?

A. Yes, for a lower rate, your organization can trial run our full membership services for 3 months. When you decide to retain our membership services after that duration, we will bill you for the rest of our normal annual rate to continue your membership benefits for the remaining 9 months.

Ask about our special promotions.

Your intent is our purpose.
